Post card from Capetown

Each time I get the opportunity to run away from my reality by planning a short get away I find myself going back to South Africa. I remember the first time I had the opportunity to visit years ago, It was the safari that attracted me to the destination. It was so fascinating to see and photograph wild animals in their real habitat. Before then, I have only watched them on documentaries. My favourite has to be is the Giraffe which i find absolutely elegant and stunning.

No doubt, South Africa is a beautiful country. It is indeed nature at its finest. This time I was lucky to get away with my partner to Cape town. The food and wine was amazing and did not cost an arm and a leg. Really affordable!

We were lucky with the weather, the beaches and waterfront were as beautiful as i had imagined, surrounded by lovely mountains and greenery. I see my self going back every six month, that how much I love this place. I was also fortunate to go on the Robben Island tour which gives a whole history on how the apartheid took over the country and how Nelson Mandela was locked up. It was educating and sober at the same time, I couldn’t imagine how inhumane people were treated. I already feel sad writing about it so let’s just talk about how beautiful the houses on the beachfront are and how it wouldn’t be a bad idea to wake up to that view everyday. I need to work hard some more!
